How the Healing Tree Began
Inspired to Make a Difference...
The Healing Tree has come a long way since our first products were formulated in 2015. It all started with a dream to create the most natural and nutrient rich products possible for family and friends. We delighted in seeing how "nature's medicine" could treat and heal a variety of skin conditions such as acne, dry skin, age spots, hyper pigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles and more. In 2017 our founder, Heidi Gordon-Smith, began a journey to create a high quality living skincare line to treat and heal various skin conditions using the highest quality, living, cold pressed vegan oils, extracts and superfoods. Her vision was to create high quality, healing skincare with a luxurious feel to it without all of the usual chemical preservatives, alcohol, water and fillers. Instead she used skin conditioning plant based preservatives, super foods, floral waters and the highest quality plant based ingredients. Fine-tuning the formulas was a long process as plant based preservatives and superfoods can change the colour and texture of the formulas. Alcohol and chemical preservatives are easier to work with and ensure that the product stays fresh for years to come but it means that by the time you use them the raw ingredients are no longer full of nutrients so offer little benefit to the user. You will never find alcohol or chemical preservatives in our products.
All of our products contain sacred palo santo oil extracted by a steam distillation process from the palo santo tree in Ecuador. Palo santo oil is a healing essential oil used by shamans for centuries to heal the physical body and also to cleanse ones energy. It is a high vibrational ingredient and is known to benefit many skin conditions, such as: ageing, fine lines, visible pores, hyper pigmentation, acne, viral and fungal skin conditions and more.
Along with sourcing the most natural and potent plant-based ingredients, Heidi was also determined to use the most environmentally friendly packaging. Her passion for all things natural and sustainable led to a great discovery: biophotonic glass, also known as violet glass. Violet glass filters out the light spectrums that biodegrade the product and only allows the violet light spectrum to enter which fuels the contents with the force of life. This means that the glass container, as well as being environmentally friendly, also acts as a natural way of preserving the contents and filling it with life giving energy. Our mission is not just about offering environmentally friendly and socially responsible products, we strive to inform and inspire the global community to embrace a sustainable and healthy lifestyle.
